Kilkenny Flower Club committee was thrilled with the turn out for yesterday’s Plant Sale and Coffee Morning. It turned out to be bigger and better than last year.
There was a huge selection of plants and indeed a huge selection of cakes and buns too.
As well as going home with lovely plants many people went home with a plate of georgous cakes or buns too.
‘As I Am’ is the charity who will benefit from the proceeds of the day.
We would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to all who made the day such a success.
Thank you for supplying plants: ‘Gardiner’s World SOS”, “Flower Power”, ‘Country Life’, Castlecomer, Ursula Brennan.
Thank you to the people for giving publicity to the event, Parish Newsletters, Kilkenny People, Kilkenny Observer, KCLR, CRKC , people who put up posters etc.
Thanks to everyone who supplied plants and cakes and bought many more.
We are grateful to everyone who prepared the hall, served teas, washed up, cleared up at the end.
A special thank you to Eddie Holohan for traffic control and general help all around – all day.
Thanks to Niamh, Ivette, Beega, Geraldine, Josephine, Mary Morrissey and many more women who worked very hard with committee members to make the day such a success.
If I left out your name please forgive me but know that your work was much appreciated.
Once again The Community Centre at Dunmore was the perfect venue.
The motto of the club is: ‘Friendship through Flowers’ and indeed that was the case yesterday. Thank you to all our friends for their contributions.
