We were entertained by horticulturalist Fergal Fitzpatrick from Ballybrophy, Laois. Fergal gave an inspiring demonstration on planting up window boxes and hanging baskets. He showed us how to take cuttings and we were amazed by the plants he brought in which were only two leaf cuttings a year ago. We got recipes for natural fertiliser and pest control. A terrific evening. Thank you very much Fergal.

We had a wonderful night on Tuesday when Karen Robinson came from Wexford Flower and Garden Club to entertain us with a beautiful floral art demonstration with a Christmas theme. So many arrangements for the raffle afterwards, 14 in all. We had a full house, it was most enjoyable.

A big thank you to Christine Foley (teacher and demonstrator) who came from Navan Floral Art Group recently. Christine showed us some leaf manipulation and did three lovely flower arrangements. We had a most pleasant evening.

We were delighted to welcome back Adrienne Thompson for a demonstration entitled ‘Summer’. Adrienne came from Naas Flower Club and you can see how bright and cheerful her arrangements were. Adrienne was awarded a Silver Medal recently at Bloom. Thank you very much Adrienne. It was a most enjoyable night.
